Steps to reset your password for Linux

    1. When on the linux account page, press the power button, find restart, and hold down shift when it starts loading
    2. If step 1 done right, you should be at GNU GRUB menu, if so, then go to advanced options and press E to edit 'Generic'
    3. Find a line with linux, and hold the right arrow down until you pass $vt_handoff, and type the following. "init=/b\ in/bash" then press enter
    4. If done correctly, type "mount -n -o remount,rw /" and then type "passwd" with a space then add your username
    5. It will ask for you to create a new password, once you you do it will ask you to retype it. After your finished you can turn it off and log back in with the new password.
